More than 800 installations worldwide testify to the Approved and certified by BNP Associates INC. The Airport Luggage Identification System ALIS400 is approved and certified according to the BNP specifications.

The BNP approval certifies that SICK’s 100% redundant design meets their requirements for redundancy which specify that no interruption or disturbance to the system will be experienced should one of the following components fail:

  • Controller,
  • Power supply,
  • Increment Encoder,
  • Trigger PhotoEye,
  • CAN-Bus and HOST Interface.

Furthermore BNP also state in their specifications that the system should experience minimal reduction in read rate should one scanner fail.

SICK's modular system design with the high performing CLV490more than satisfythis requirement: atypical overall loss in read rate for a SICK ALIS gate, in the event that one scanner fails, is less than1%.

In addition SICK's Remote Diagnostic Tool RDT400 also supports the 100% redundant system design. Cari also add these references in 2 or 3 columns
